Barcelona forward Munir could follow Aleix Vidal to Sevilla

Although Barcelona had planned to retain the services of Munir El Haddadi, Sevilla's latest offer is said to be a highly compelling one for the Catalans.

The young forward has a year left on his contract and Ernesto Valverde had contemplated a contract renewal offer for Munir, who would be included in the coach's plans for the upcoming season.

According to Sport, however, Barcelona having been reconsidering the player's status, as the Andalusians have stepped up with an attractive offer.

MARCA have confirmed the interest in the former Alaves forward, as Sevilla aim to enrich Pablo Machin's frontline.

If Munir's transfer is to proceed, the 22-year-old will become the third exchange between the two teams this summer, after Clement Lenglet's move to the Blaugrana and Aleix Vidal's upcoming transfer to Sevilla.

Los Nervionenses were impressed by the player's performances at Alaves last season and seem eager to add him to their attacking force, one which consists of Pablo Sarabia, Nolito and Franco Vazquez

Manchester City have completed the signing of another talented youngster in the shape of Dutch defender Philippe Sandler.

The Netherlands youth international has joined the Premier League champions for a fee reportedly in the region of £2.5 million.

The 21-year-old, a product of Ajax's famous youth system, is expected to provide cover for Vincent Kompany, John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi and Aymeric Laporte at centre-back, although he can also play in midfield.

Speaking in March ahead of his impending move, Sandler said: "I heard that scouts from Manchester City were watching me, but you do not expect as a player to go from PEC Zwolle to City.

"The best manager in the world, Pep Guardiola, is currently in charge there, and he can teach me a lot, and also the style in which they play football attracts me a lot."

Meanwhile, City have allowed 19-year-old goalkeeper Aro Muric to join Eredivisie side NAC Breda on a season-long loan.

City also announced that 21-year-old midfielder Bersant Celina has joined Swansea City on a permanent deal, worth a reported £3 million.

Dallas' contribution to global popular culture blooms out of the dusty Texan plains, with Barcelona and Roma taking part in their own Duel in the Sun on Tuesday night.

In the western classic, Joseph Cotten and Gregory Peck compete for the love of Jennifer Jones and a similar rivalry will be played out in the state's second largest city in the International Champions Cup.

It wasn't long ago that the two clubs had little to do with eachother, but times have changed.

First it was the Champions League quarter-final clash which sparked a great Roman comeback at the Stadio Olimpico, and then it was the espionage-esque capture of Malcom that the Blaugrana pulled off from under their rival's nose.

The Brazilian is expected to feature a AT&T Stadium but Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes are injured. Marc-Andre ter Stegen should appear at some point between the posts, after landing in Texas on Monday.

Southern hospitality was in full swing as the squad touched down in Dallas and checked into their hotel, The Joule, with hundreds of fans turning out for autographs and selfies.

Barcelona are certainly in the more sociable mood when it comes to their pre-season results thus far, drawing 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur in their first game after Roma's 4-1 humbling at the hands of the same opposition.

Whoever fails to claim victory on Tuesday, with the game taking place in the early hours of Wednesday morning in European time, will point to their recent glory over their opposition as justification that the result doesn't matter. But this is a modern rivalry taking shape in a classic setting.
